Director of Coaching and Mentoring
Huguette Lareche is Director of Coaching and Mentoring with agency-wide responsibility for supporting and motivating instructional staff, conducting classroom assessments and providing feedback for professional growth, assisting our teaching teams with curriculum implementation and facilitating professional development trainings to achieve targeted goals. She is one of two Educational Directors assigned to execute this specialized portfolio throughout our Friends of Crown Heights network.
Ms. Lareche is a professional Early Childhood educator with nearly two decades of continuous experience and expertise in both instructional and leadership positions. She is a former Instructional Coach with the Brooklyn Kindergarten Society, where she also previously served as Director of the Brevoort Children’s Center. She holds the Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from City College of the City University of New York (CUNY), and is Professionally Certified by the New York State Department of Education. She is additionally certified as an official observer of the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS), which is an observation tool developed as an objective way to measure and improve teacher-student interactions.
In addition to being fluently bilingual in English and Haitian Kreyol, Ms. Lareche also has conversational capability Spanish and French.
